Old Hutch Style Coca Cola Crawford Rainwater 44 Years Retirement Hygeia Bottle. "Coca Cola was first bottled in 1894, by Joseph Biedenharn, of Vicksburg, Mississippi, in a green Hutchinson style bottle- which was commonly seen in those days. The first bottle used by the Hygeia Coca Cola Organization was this Hutchinson styled bottle referred to as a "blob top" bottle and was readily distinguished by its wire loop stopper. After the turn of the century, Coca Cola was primarily bottled in a straight walled bottle which had a diamond shaped paper label. This bottle was used until 1915 when the present hobble-skirt design was adopted. This commemorative bottle was produced in honor of Crawford Rainwater's retirement". Crawford Rainwater's career began in 1937 and ended 44 years later when he retired in June of 1981. This bottle features a likeness of Crawford Rainwater along with his embossed autograph. On the other side is "Coca Cola" embossed in the familiar script, and "44 years 1937- 44 Years of Service 1981 Crawford Rainwater". Includes small booklet with information regarding his career.
